lucid dreams- styled by jessie

styled by

with an almost encyclopedic knowledge of designers, labels and trends, jessie is our secret weapon at the beacons buying counter. read about some of her fashion faves in this week’s feature styled by jessie.

photographer stylist: jessie

model: leah

so what’s this look about?

i wasn’t really about trying to create a narrative, i just wanted to create a dreamy kind of mood without any specific time or place. so its just more about creating an atmosphere.

do you collect anything?

no, i don’t actually! i’ve just been trying to buy what i use now. i’ve sold so much extraneous stuff that i never wear, but recently i’ve been a little into edwardian undergarments and tops just to look at. but i wouldn’t really consider myself a collector.

oh no wait - there’s chanel! oh yeah that’s one thing. i guess i collect anything chanel. i’m obsessed. i have a few bags and stuff.

what other designers do you like? who’s pushing the boundaries?

right now i really like phoebe philo at celine, and i really like what raf simons is doing at dior. and ann demeulemeester is someone who i just always loved as far as designers go. i wish i could dress like an ann demeulemeester woman.

what’s your take on the socks/sandals combo?

oh i love it! i love the whole birkenstock/mules/sliders sandal thing that’s coming back.  i wish i could have a pair of those celine, fur-lined ones! and the tevas.

you know, i finally touched a pair of those celines in real life! i was window shopping at saks...

oh they have them in stock?? i want a pair so bad. i think the ones without the fur are pretty reasonable. they’re only like, 800 dollars!
