destination: phoenix, l.a., and the dragoons in the coronado national forest.
purpose of journey: this trip had two main purposes: to guide my friends on a spiritual adventure in the desert and to attend my friend jane chardiet's first solo photo show at mata noise in l.a.
never travel without: a kimono - you never know when you’ll need to lounge in style or have a dramatic moment.
favorite outfit you packed: a black vintage tunic dress that i wore nearly every day.
how many pairs of shoes: 3
what are you listening to: broken english club, strawberry switchblade, neil young and the radio.
favorite meal: i had a handful of special home-cooked meals in friends’ gardens, but I also got two tacos for $2.50 in silverlake and their salsa bar included sauteed onions. i felt very blessed with food on this trip.
highlight of the trip: as we were driving out of our camping spot, we pulled over to play with some grazing horses, a giant donkey and a miniature donkey. they encircled the car and wouldn’t let us leave! and i didn’t want to.
