epic yard sale in montauk
taking a seat by a permanent lawn fixture, an old trailer.
given that melet mercantile is one of the greatest vintage showrooms in america, we had to go check out its long running and aptly named “epic” 4th of july yard sale in montauk. proprietor bob melet’s place is an off the beaten path nook where you can sip lemonade, enjoy a groovy, feel-good summer playlist, and mingle with the neighbors. above all, it’s a secondhand shopper’s paradise, choc-o-bloc with rare vintage and antique oddities. great vibes, all around!
the grande finale of the event was the fashion show, where volunteer attendees graced the grass in their vintage finds.

french clothing stand?? it's anyone's guess but it's cute!

a shopper models her patriotic finds.
melet’s wonderland of wares sprouts up in montauk every 4th of july, but if that's too far a haul, they also have an incredible retail shop in montauk, plus a vintage showroom, and creative studio in manhattan!
