city of roses
our social media manager alba sojourns to her home country mexico for a epic three day long traditional wedding
destination: guadalajara
purpose of journey: one of my closest friends got married in guadalajara. she used to live in new york and we worked together in the city last summer! and also the perfect excuse to go back to my home country mexico <3. i really enjoy guadalajara it was my 4th time visiting and it was nice getting some sun and heat before coming back to cold new york.
never travel without: i never travel without a camera, or a book. currently im reading isabel allende’s la casa de los espiritus.
favorite outfit you packed: for sure a black velvet halter dress i made a week before the wedding, it took me three days to finish it. and also one of my brand pieces, a black lace corset i made and wore for the after-party.
how many pairs of shoes: 4 but i only used 2, my cowboy boots i got in mexico city and black strappy heels.
what were you listening to: a very extensive but curated selection of 80’s funk, cumbia rebajada, and 2000’s mexican indie bands. belanova, sister sledge and sonido satanas!
favorite meal: everything! i miss mexican food so much, so i wanted to eat everything, but maybe tacos campechano from lupe candor taqueria, and we also went to a seafood restaurant.
highlight of the trip: the wedding was one of the most iconic weddings ive ever been to. it was your three day long traditional mexican wedding. so much dancing, singing and tequila!
