What was the inspiration behind this project?
The inspiration behind the project was the film archetype of the “manic pixie dream girl”. Usually defined as a one-dimensional character only used as a plot device, the goal of the shoot was to highlight the character, rather than limit it. Taking the manic pixie dream girl and turning her into a main character instead of a prized earned.

How did you get into this kind of creative work?

I have always been obsessed with clothes and fashion ever since I was a child. My mom told me I used to fix people’s outfits if I saw something that was bothering me, a manifestation of my role as a stylist today. I started my styling business when I got laid off from my corporate job in March of 2025. After months of networking and collaborating, I feel am finally at a place where I am getting compensated and recognized for my work as a stylist.

Which Beacon’s Closet location is your go-to?

The Greenpoint location.

What was your favorite piece you pulled from Beacon’s Closet for this project?

My favorite piece was the Moschino pink top. The detailing was gorgeous and the model loved the piece which translated to the photos.
