o: hey guys, we're here at beacon's closet. my name is odera and i'm with...
i: izack morales.
o: what's going on izack? how are you?
i: all good. i just came to check some clothes and to see if i can get something for starting the year.
o: speaking of starting the year, do you have any style resolutions? is there anything you want to change with your style or are you keeping it the same?
i: letting a lot of things go. trying to get more into like japanese, layering, japanese and cowboy.
o: right. no, i could definitely see that with a japanese cowboy. how would you describe your personal style?
i: i love wearing hats. this hat is hand painted by an artist in mexico called efra sanchez. i love a lot of things that are, like, unique, and it can be part of like my everyday wardrobe.
o: tell us about your pants, too.
i: pants are y project. they just make beautiful designs, trying to point to like designers that are making noise but they are not huge.
if it feels too safe or too comfortable, make a little bit of an effort to fill. feeling comfortable is not always bad, but I feel like depending on what you do. me, i'm a fashion photographer, and part of my career, my profession, is to understand what fashion is and where it's going. just wear simple and not make an effort.
i don't think that would be ideal. a lot of people would think different, but that's at least what i think, and it works for me. i like people to know that when i go into a set, they know that i'm making a difference, at least from the moment that i step in. i just love, like, walking the streets and feeling myself strong and secure.
o: what's your favorite thing about what you do?
i: working with teams that are, like very motivated. i mean, like very interesting projects and also the idea of traveling a lot for me, born and raised in mexico. you grew up with a, with an amazing, amazing culture that is sometimes very bizarre, you know, how can implement that in what i do every day.
so many interesting independent designers over there just inspire me every day. more love people. and I love creating.
o: thank you for taking the time out to talk to us. it's always good to see you over here.
