For over 40 years, City Harvest has rescued more than 1 billion pounds of nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and delivered it, free of charge, to food pantries, soup kitchens, community partners, and Mobile Markets® across the five boroughs.
With the current political climate leaving thousands of New Yorkers without SNAP benefits and government employees facing missed paychecks due to the shutdown, the need for immediate action is urgent. Hunger is real and it affects our community now more than ever.
